Round and round they go...

Well, well, well...

The "Compulsary Annuity" is also being bandied about as "Longevity Insurance".

Wait a second.

An Insurance is generally something that is bought/prepared to provide protection in the event of catastrophic/unexpected situations. Like, being hospitalized (Medical Insurance), owning a car that suddenly develops a crush for trees (Auto Insurance), having a neighbour trying to re-enact rescue scenes in Ladder 49 (Property Insurance), and etc.

This makes it sound like living beyond 85 is not something to look forward to. Can I opt out already?

(I know, I know, the topic's monotonous, but I am really miffed with this. Especially considering that it is very likely that my "insurance premium" is as good as gone.)
